Saleing the "Free Version"

So, how much do you think someone would pay for a fixed up free version of the script with traffic? I just sold a fix'd up phpArcadeScript that was 2 months old for a $700 BIN price and a few $900 offers that I had to turn down because I am honest and already accepted the BIN price.

Want to hold a contest to see who can build up a site with the most traffic & sale for the most $$ with the free version? Spending no money expect on hosting and the domain name. You can also only use your talents to fix up the script.

What do you say? A 1 month or 2 month long contest?

That sounds interesting, but I'm too busy coding for V1.0 to join in on this...

Tossing in some "adult" content like the one where the girl is riding in a car flashing and that other car crashes... That sure did get a LOT of traffic off of links and people passing it around.

The free script does actually support games and using vids from other sources too...

Adult content always gets you a huge amount of traffic. ;) I have a big old bookmark folder full of just adult link drop sites. I droped two links on one of these sites and got 300 uniques off of it. Only thing is that AdSense does not support adult content and it is hard to find a decent alternative that pay's a decent CPM for an adult site.

yeah it is, but its a good way to beef up your traffic which is one of the bigger things that people look at when buying. I'm thinking about getting another update together for .6x and MIGHT improve the adult content handling and include that new URL system as the only real changes.

I need to update the import scripts too.
