3) header category list moved to seperate file
4) install.php written
5) tossed in a blog/link code that selects itself
6) Seperated Random movies box from play_content and doing the same with index_content
7) cleaned up rating.php and checked some more on the rating bug.

Sounds pretty good :)
securing the admin panel with a php password would be good so it's easier to run crob for import.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to get many speed related tweaks into this next update or not. I've decided to really go over the /admincp further. THere's been a couple bug reports that I haven't been able to confirm.
For added speed here's a tip: HARDCODE the variables into config.php and chop out that query ;)

Hey there - Here I am finally signed up :) (From DP)
How easy is it to install the newer updates over the old ones? I would like to keep up to date with them, but if it's alot of work - I will just wait to use the script until it's good and complete.

Thanks for your kindness of giving out something free like this! I have just made a site a few minutes back and am working out to make it really look good! Can't wait to see some stable versions...
Keep up the good work!

Basically if you do template edits KEEP track of them because with most releases you'll have to redo quite a few of them.
V.6 is probably the last "stable" release for a little while. Last night I updated the package with a couple various bug fixes and I will be fixing different things that come through as reports.
I've decided instead of just stacking more features onto this current core I'll "unify" it with my main codebase which means I'll be putting out a beta in the not too distant future that has a LOT more features. I suggest setting up a site on V.6 and getting to know the feed and starting to promote a site because the NEXT release is going to be considerably better than quite a few of the paid scripts floating around.

I am going to force people to simply register on this forum to be able to d/l the free script. I will be setting up a redirect on the current location.
Its not like it takes long to register anyway ;)
d/l moved to http://www.fastfreemedia.com/forums/showthread.php?p=467#post467
some people need to search...
FastFreeMedia Forum > General Forum > Updates / Annoucements > Changing free.zip d/l

What do I need just for the update?
the forum isn't abandoned, we are working on a huge update right now. sometime soon, the whole site will change, and the whole outlook of FFM will come together.
v.7 will be released soon with a new design. I would suggest on doing a fresh install of v.7 as we have fixed the import, and our thumbs issue. So no more dead thumbs. This will all be in the annoucements when you see a new design on this site, also, a newsletter will be sent out to all current members.
Kip thanks for your reply,
The only think is that i want to keep the old data, I already have over 13K of clips and I don't want to run a new install and find out I lose them.
thanks
Ross
our feed has ~10k with working thumbs. your site now that has 13k MORE than 1/2 are missing thumbs. using the new feed will fix all the thumbs and make your site look a lot better.
buy btw what is your domain? and what are you wanting to do ?
