The only thing holding us up from release is finishing up the new cron tools I'm putting together and finishing up the tools for importing the new feed.

1) Support for my new feed (6k? videos)
2) REWRITTEN user plugs
3) REWRITTEN user movie submissions
4) IE6 alignment bug
5) Couple other IE6 CSS related issues (didn't have IE6 so never saw them!)
6) New cron tools to help automate content better

I was a beta tester but this is worth buying trust me. I still want to know if they are going to place ads in the video feeds though like they originally wanted to do.

Sounds interesting. Is there a demo somewhere to see the new 1.5.6 in action?

The ones mentioned in the first post were uploaded a couple of weeks ago and are labeled as the 1.5.5 d/l and I also uploaded another update Friday or Saturday night that rounded up some more bugs and brings support for my new feed which is sitting at 2,894 videos under 2 minutes. I plan on slowly opening this feed up and making longer videos available just like I've been doing with the other feed.

I will be officially launching 1.5.6 in a couple of days. I'm also working away on V1.6 right now ;)

I have now moved all of the templates and pages into the DB and built a cache tool for them and a quick/easy to use administrative section to be able to quickly edit the files.

My wife works like the next 7 nights (12 hour shifts) and I get a TON of work done when she's not around. With the kind of progress I'm making tonight I might not even bother pimping the 1.5.6 release and just shoot for having 1.6 at least beta ready by the end of the week... So get your feature requests in and get them in NOW!

-------
I plan on having a "share embed codes" feature which will only be for the .flv videos your site hosts so that you can setup feeds for OTHER sites! That way lets say there's a site that hosts 100 videos and you want some of the other ES sites to use your videos with your logo/link on them, simply turn this feature on and post a link in this forum and suddenly you can start having other sites using your videos.

To take this a step further I plan on reviving the old free script which ONLY supports embed codes and offering it to the masses. You will also be able to use this free script to setup some extra sites and start getting traffic to them before you bother paying for an extra license ;) One of the MANY drawbacks to the free version will be that there is absolutely no caching so it simply won't handle high traffic loads anywhere near as well as the paid version.

There will be an OPTION for you to turn that flash based file uploader off because there are quite a few servers that just aren't liking that flash upload tool. This will let you go back to a pure form based uploader.

- User Submit Embed Codes
- User Submit pages open in new window (those pages look squished inside the template)

I'm also hoping to revive the news page and forum, forum might be something that doesn't come back right away but the news page should be an easy fix.

Some debugging tools built into the script are planned. my ffmpeg.zip file is going to just be included and I'm planning on getting a debug mode which counts the number of queries on each page and also lets you know how many cached files are opened which will be a performance type test and will also help me figure out which pages have the most queries to work on making things faster.

For when I overhaul the user's stuff:
- Post Comments about the user
- WYSIWYG editor for sending PM's
- Persons favorite media on their profile page
- Persons uploaded videos on profile page
- Allow user videos to be seen from the user pages even before they've been approved for use on the main site
- User photo galleries put them into site.com/users/NAME/photos
- Move memberlist and have it called friends and make it searchable
- "subscribe" to users - notify you when they upload a new video
- list how many views that users videos have received in total

Well i have been looking around at other media scripts most pull pictures and videos from other sites and most of the best ones are blog feed. Here is one that is really good http://www.clumsycrooks.com/ I think there are 3 things that make a site a success 1. content 2. ads 3. traffic I think the script having games and videos are great but the site needs content that changes everyday to keep people coming back.

My two cents
1. ads load for 10 seconds before video starts
2. Site Statistics on site pages (how many visitors etc.)
3. Rss feeds
4. Fix Page Numbers
5. Fix Submit Page( it loads but you have to scroll down half a page)
6. News Page
7. Fix Forum

Alot of these can be added later
